I prefer blackboard and blogger for conversations rather than twitter. Mostly because i feel twitter is just sharing quick details of your life with your followers not designed for in dept conversations.
I followed chipotle because its my favorite fast food place. Most of their tweets were interacting with their followers.

Social Media
Social media refers to the means of interactions among people in which they create, share, and exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks. Iv personally been on a few social media sites such as Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter. They are a great way for people to interact without being together in real life. Facebook has probable been the best one so far since its really simple and it allows you to share your life with your friends.
A virtual world is an online community that takes the form of a computer-based simulated environment through which users can interact with one another and use and create objects. It is basically a separate world where you can be whatever you want. In the article "Going to the virtual office in Second Life", companies are using virtual worlds to do meetings instead of having people fly to a particular area. This is a great idea because it makes it easy and cheap.
